Teacher Tomoko visited Cambodia first time. 

 

After 31 years of professional career as an art teacher in high schools in Tokyo, Tomoko retired when she was age of 59.  

 

She left Japan and started construction for the art school.  Due to the troubles with neighborhoods, the construction was stopped for a while. 

 

She started art lesson for 25 children at an orphanage center. 

 

The school construction finally completed and she hired a Khmer-Japanese interpreter, Hea Cheav.

 

Small Art School officially opened the gate to the students.  She got offers from neighborhood children for Japanese lesson. 

 

She started to teach at Angkor Krau Community Center collaborated with JST.  Since then, she teaches there about 40 times per year.

 

Yuko joined as an Art coordinator.    

 

She started to cooperate with the New Child Care Center 40 times a year.

 

Started to cooperate with Self-Help Community Center about 30 to 40 people.

 

First art exhibition for two days on weekend at Victoria Hotel (Siem Reap City).

 

Requested from World Assistance for Cambodia (WAfC), we visited Ratanakiri province and teach art for the bright Future Kids.  We also visited there in August 2011 and December 2012. 

 

Art Exhibition held at Space Nana (Yokohama, Japan).

 

Art Exhibition and art workshop at Cambodia-Japan Center for Human Development (Phnom Penh)

 

Angkor Wat International Film Festival (@Sofitel Hotel in Siem Reap, Cambodia) We also provided a poster design by Kunthea Lim.

 

Visited PreyVeng Province for Rieko Yano school, cooperated with WAfC.

 

KSEDO orphanage children joined to learn at the SAS. (yearly about 76 times).

 

Anjali House students joined to learn at the SAS. 

 

German NGO giz requested us to provide hand-craft designs.  SAS provided art workshops for rural women to be independent.

 

Started to teach at Oh Village Kindergarten about 40 children.

 

Started Tattom and Throck primary classes about 65 students (continued).

 

Visited Prey Veng province for Ford Harrison School.  Cooperated with WAfC.

 

Opened  “Khmer Kids Art Gallery” hosted by Old Forest Boutique shop in Siem Reap.
